Isle Of Wight Holiday

Hello everyone!

So today I was thinking I would talk about my recent holiday on the Isle of Wight in the UK. I travelled there by Ferry from Southampton and stayed at a Place called Salturns Holiday Resort. If I am honest, the location was beautiful but when we actually arrived at the holiday park itself, I was quite apprehensive. All of the individual houses were painted a lovely range of pastel colours however they all seemed a bit small. But, they were very misleading. It was absolutely stunning accommodation.

The inside of the house we stayed in was huge! Very clean and well looked after, they even left us some essentials like tea bags, coffee and cookies! (which were delicious). There was a downstairs bathroom, large dining area, a spacious lounge with flat screen television and a huge kitchen with a patio leading onto an outside dining area. Upstairs were four bedrooms, one with an en-suite and extra bathroom. They were all decorated to perfection with Tumblr style bunting and quotes in frames.

The site itself was based on a nature reserve and was about a road crossing away from a quiet beach. There were several lovely local pubs and restaurants which served delicious fresh, locally sourced food. The fact that there were many animals on the nature reserve, it wasn't a surprise to us that we got some visitors!

It was an amazing place for any amateur photographer to get some practice. I loved wondering around the site and snapping some flowers and many animals! And that was all just on the site itself. Not too far away were lots of things to do like farms, beaches and cafes... and a castle. In the middle of our stay we decided to travel to Carisbrooke Castle where many branches of royalty have stayed- or been imprisoned for that matter. It was a lovely place to learn about the history of the Isle of Wight and capture some stunning views from its very high walls.

There was a lot more I could write about this holiday but I'm afraid that would take forever! I hope you enjoyed reading about my time there and the pictures I took.

Keep reading, and don't forget... smile!
